Hey fans of all things recruiting, welcome indeed to the next installment of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In this round, I give you a review of Ernest Little. Little is an interesting G, out of WAYNE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, GA. His ranking of 42 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. He weighs in at 291 pounds, is 6' 4" tall, at the age of 18. Moving on to his report card, here is what we have learned:

He wants to win! This is a young man who will bench press a Defensive Tackle, and not a small one! Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. Pretty clever.

Teams are competing for the signature of the promising G. It is going to be a hard decision to make, when the list of teams includes Ernest Little.

The Clemson Tigers should be a good bet to get him, he even said so himself on one occasion. But recruiters are aware that until a decision is announced, he is open to courting.

The league announced BYU Cougars quarterback Robert Fulmer has been named Offensive Player of the Week.

The Cougars defeated the UCLA Bruins, 44 to 24. Fulmer did his part, throwing 1 touchdowns, completing 19 of 31 passes for 173 yards. His outstanding performance now brings his season Touchdown to Interception Ratio to 7 to 4, and a passer rating of 118.6.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis: Leroy Lau - LB

Hello football fans, welcome again to more detailed analysis in this new round of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In today's report, we will review Leroy Lau. Lau is a LB, who played high school football at ALPHARETTA HIGH SCHOOL, GA. Lau is ranked as a 5 star recruit, and 24 overall. He weighs in at 213 pounds, is 6' 0" tall, at the age of 19. OK, let us get down to brass tax.

This kid puts in the work. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Coaches like how well he tackles. So fast. You could drop him into coverage if you wanted. If you miss your block on this guy, he will be in the face of the QB before he has even finished dropping back. If you watch the tape again, you can see he plays with nice instincts.

A lot of teams are vying for a commitment from the young LB. The number of teams that have approached Leroy Lau is not insignificant. Combining multiple media reports, the list of teams that have been in contact include at least the following: Iowa Hawkeyes, Air Force Falcons, Arizona State Sun Devils, Michigan State Spartans, Washington Huskies, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Louisville Cardinals, Virginia Tech Hokies, Oregon State Beavers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Oklahoma Sooners, Utah Utes, Oregon Ducks, Vanderbilt Commodores.

We simply do not know yet, which way Leroy Lau is leaning with his commitment. He has made an effort to keep the media in that dark on this.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Hello football diehards, to more in detail analysis in this installment of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As always, when we are this early in the season, we evaluate two of the five star prospects. Here we go!

Robert Campbell - SS:
Robert Campbell is an interesting SS, out of WY specifically, WORLAND HIGH SCHOOL. Campbell is a 5 star recruit, ranked 12. Campbell is 18 years old, weighs 215 pounds and is 6' 2" tall.

Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Here is a young man who is legitimately explosive. He will go sideline to sideline. You really need that kind of mobility at the Strong Safety position. He has a well-developed tackling technique. He is alert and reacts well on the field.

The young Campbell has his phone ringing off the hook. Robert Campbell recently told local news that the following teams have shown interest: LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners, Air Force Falcons, Tennessee Volunteers, Louisville Cardinals, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Oregon State Beavers, Missouri Tigers, Virginia Cavaliers, Oregon Ducks, Michigan Wolverines, Auburn Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Campbell seems to be a slam dunk to commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Recently, he hinted in an interview that a decision might come soon.

Anthony Fowler - C:
Anthony Fowler is an intriguing C, out of OH specifically, TWINSBURG HIGH SCHOOL. Fowler is a 5 star recruit, ranked 13. He is 18 years old, weighs 295 pounds and is 6' 4" tall.

His high school coaches rave about his work ethic. Respected for his good behavior on the field. This is a kid who really contributes to the team spirit and the social cohesiveness on the team. This guy is built like a tank. Run blocking is very different when facing high school kids than the bigger and stronger kids in college. This kid has the skills to do the latter. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers.

The following teams are rumored to be interested in Fowler: Michigan State Spartans, Clemson Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Wisconsin Badgers, Auburn Tigers, Washington Huskies, Tennessee Volunteers, Louisville Cardinals, Virginia Tech Hokies, Kentucky Wildcats, Utah Utes, Cincinnati Bearcats.

The Clemson Tigers should be a good bet to get him. But the thing about bets is: they are just bets. There is only one person who currently knows where he is going, and he has not announced any decision yet.

Week 3: QB Kurtis Keck (MTSU) wins Offensive Player of the Week

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders' Kurtis Keck threw 6 touchdowns, completing 15 of 25 passes for 410 yards in the Blue Raiders victory over the Liberty Flames.

After being signed in 2000, season number 4 for Keck, has seen some impressive numbers including 10 touchdown passes this season.

Mark Akers - QB:
Mark Akers is an interesting QB, and star of the NEW TRIER TOWNSHIP H S WINNETKA (IL) football program. Akers is a 5 star player, ranked 10. Akers is 6' 1" tall, clocks in at 195 pounds and is 19 years old.

Teammates look to him for leadership, and he consistently delivers. Known among his teammates as a hard worker. In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. His understanding of the game is phenomenal. Has accuracy to throw receivers open. The ball leaves his hand at great speed. He can deliver the ball anywhere on the field at the blink of an eye.

Teams are competing for the signature of the promising QB. It is going to be a hard decision to make, when the list of teams includes Mark Akers.

Persons acquainted with him say that Akers likely will commit to the Navy Midshipmen. But whether that knowledge is reliable is hard to tell.

Gerald Smith - T:
Gerald Smith is a young T, graduating from FOREST HILLS HIGH, NC. Smith is a 5 star player, and his overall ranking is 6. He is 19 years old, weighs 308 pounds and is 6' 7" tall.

This is not the kind of player who gives up or abandons his friends when things get tough. His love for winning leads him to push himself hard, setting an example for everyone. If you go to his tape, you will see he run blocks very well. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. Clever young man as well

Everyone had expected the Virginia Cavaliers to get an easy win at home against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. The Warhawks however, thought differently. Blowing a must win game will surely put a dent in the Cavaliers confidence.

Christensen's 6 rec, 274 yds, 4 TD effort led the way for the Oregon Ducks. This weeks 274 receiving yards bring his season total to 344 yards with 5 touchdowns on the season.
